My bespoke approach

I work at all levels of the organisation wherever improvement is needed.

A sustainable change program includes regularly scheduled workshops and individual and group coaching.

Time scheduled in between for experience, reflection and learning.


  • Sustain learning with at least six sessions and space in between for experience and reflection

  • You set the goals for the series.

  • Your leaders’ involvement is encouraged for goal-setting and alignment 

  • The series can be standalone or part of a bigger initiative

Thoughts on leadership

Leading is not for the faint-hearted as anyone who has been a leader knows. There is both pleasure and pain involved in all that is asked of organisational leaders in our constantly changing global landscape. Even those who love it will agree it’s a big ask. They are expected to deliver ever-growing, excellent results, enable performance and grow talent in their people, shape the culture to achieve its strategic vision and grow their own leadership competency.

So what’s the best way to lead? There are hundreds of philosophies, models, competency profiles, development programs, TED Talks, blogs and consultants to choose from. Most have something to offer but how to choose?

What I’ve learned from the best leaders I’ve worked with is best summed up by one of my favourite quotes from Antoine de Saint Exupery:

"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."

This means:

  • Hold to a compelling vision

  • Commit to a common purpose

  • Be real

  • Be honest

  • Be curious

  • Care about your people

  • Listen to your people

  • Learn and grow from mistakes

  • Be willing to have the challenging, uncomfortable conversations

There is a discipline around learning and leading. To be sustainable, the experience must be memorable, meaningful and engaging for those involved to want to continue their journey of growth.

My life’s purpose is to help people find, revel in and share their unique gifts and talents and create amazing experiences and results for themselves and their communities.
I have worked across many industries with hundreds of people, helping them to realise the value they bring. I like to call it a ‘conversant consultancy’; as we listen, collaborate and provide feedback, we all learn.
Working with people to develop their capabilities and build trust within their environments can be achieved through group sessions and workshops, coaching or mentoring or a combination.
My facilitation and coaching style always puts the client in the centre – your goals, your timing, your level of intensity. I will recommend an approach and in the end, it is up to you to decide and I respect that.

In a career spanning 30 years, Terri has worked in global and Australian corporate organisations (including IBM, Honeywell, Digital Equipment, Compaq, Ernst & Young, AMP, Goodman Fielder), supporting large-scale strategic change interventions, strategy development and implementation, leadership and culture transformation. Working with groups and individuals to broaden their perspectives and pay attention to both the tangible and intangible aspects of strategic change has resulted in significant and sustainable desired outcomes.
